Fall Break Farmsteaders Camp

A five-day, hands-on farm camp where kids ages 5-16 learn what it means to be a Farmsteader. Through daily discovery and activity, campers connect with the land and animals in a meaningful way. No prior farm or animal experience is required—just a curiosity to learn and grow.

Program Highlights

This five-day farm camp immerses kids in the daily rhythms of life at Leaning Post Acres. Each day features a unique theme designed to build local knowledge, practical skills, and a deeper connection to nature.

Monday — Farm Life & Animal Care

We begin the week learning the daily chores that keep the farm running, from feeding and watering to understanding animal needs.

Tuesday — Growing & Gardening

Hands-on time in the dirt, learning how we grow food in the desert, managing soil, and planting seasonal crops.

Wednesday — Chickens, Eggs & Food

From the coop to the kitchen. Campers explore poultry care, egg gathering, and the journey of farm-fresh food.

Thursday — Livestock & Horsemanship

Learning the gentle skill of horsemanship and safe practices around large animals and livestock.

Friday — Farmsteader Skills & Celebration

We wrap our week by mastering traditional skills and celebrating our collective journey as Farmsteaders.

This is a five-day, hands-on farm camp where kids ages 6–14 learn what it means to be a Farmsteader. No prior farm or animal experience is required; come ready to learn, explore, and grow on our real Sonoran working farmstead.

Leaning Post Acres is an ESA-approved vendor. This hands-on, educational farm camp focuses on real farm work and science. No previous farm or animal experience is required to join our farm family for the week.

 

Unable to attend the full week? Drop-in days are available for individual days, subject to availability.

ESA ACCEPTED

Leaning Post Acres is an ESA Direct Vendor.

Families may use their ESA funds for eligible educational programming at our farm.

Important information

Camp Schedule: Monday through Friday, October 5–9, from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM.
Limited Space: Enrollment is strictly limited to 10 campers to ensure a high-quality educational experience.
ESA Approved: Leaning Post Acres is an ESA-approved vendor.
Registration Policy: Registration is not complete simply because payment has been received. After payment, each camper must have their required registration form completed before attending camp.
